Welcome! I'm excited to be beginning this blog and looking forward to seeing the journey that unfolds. The goal of Truth Pursuit is to inspire readers by writing reflections on God's truth from his Word. My hope is that you will be encouraged to pursue a deeper relationship with God. I've become so aware of how easy it is to become complacent or get comfortable with the Christian life. I'll share from my life and my journey with God and am praying that you'll be challenged, inspired and encouraged as you read this blog.
I currently study at the University of Canterbury. Some things I love include spending time with friends and family, studying hard and challenging myself, getting involved in opportunities around me and digging into God's word and his truth. I'm from a big family and am third eldest of 11 children! It's a lot of fun but with so many siblings there's always something happening. Our family life is very fast paced.
God's Word is filled with truth. I find studying it really fascinating and am excited to have this blog as an excuse to spend extra time in God's Word. Jesus told his disciples: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:31-32). The psalmist prayed, "Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." (Psalm 25:5).
